As the communications chair for FIU's Ferré Institute, I have come to embrace the essential social media platform activities that allow for students to connect with civic leaders and public administrators. I achieved my primary objective which was to retain more members within our committee before graduating.
ASPA Best Practices
Upon recommendation from Vernise Estorcien, I contributed to the American Society for Public Administration South Florida Chapter's Best Practices Conference as a student panelist.
Inaugural Student Ambassador/Fellow
During the summer of 2021, I became a member of Women in Government Relations after receiving a scholarship from the Public Leadership Education Network. ​

My journey as a Global Learning student made this and many other opportunities possible due to the recommendations of Assistant Director, Yenisleidy Simon Mengana. I joined the WGR DEI committee and registered for the mentorship program as a mentee. As I continue to learn so much from the leaders of WGR, I look forward to contributing to the planning of the next summit as a member of the WGR DEI Summit Marketing Subcommittee.
